Zelensky enacts NSDC decision regarding shelters
The Cabinet of Ministers now has to ensure systematic checks of shelters

Volodymyr Zelensky has enacted the decision of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) regarding shelters.
This is stated in the Presidential Decree No. 353/2023.
Thus, the Cabinet of Ministers is obliged to appoint someone who will monitor the process of bringing shelters up to standard, and also to organise systematic checks of the shelters.
Officials also need to create a commission to check the condition of bridge structures, which will be headed by the Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine (currently Oleksandr Kubrakov). All legislative acts by the Cabinet of Ministers must be submitted by July 31 of the current year.
At the same time, the decision on allocating funds to local self-government bodies for the maintenance of shelters in the proper condition must be adopted by July 15.
Background. Mind previously reported that those responsible for the inadequacy of shelters would be held accountable. The NSDC has adopted a mandate to bring all protective structures up to standard.
