Electronic access to shelters tested in Kyiv
The system is already being prepared for launch

Electronic access to shelters has been tested in Kyiv.
This is reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA).
It is noted that the system is already being prepared for launch. The first shelter with electronic access appeared in the Darnytskyi district of the capital. The administration explains that the shelter doors can be opened in four ways:
- Automatically, when an air raid is announced in the city;
- Remotely by the dispatcher via the intercom device;
- With a physical "key" (similar to a regular intercom key);
- Via a pin code, generated by the Telegram chatbot Bomb Shelters of Kyiv.
At the same time, exiting a closed shelter is contactless – you just need to bring your hand to the sensor button. In case of malfunctions or technical problems, the dispatcher will call technical support to restore the operation of the equipment.
"Manufacturing and installing such a system requires a certain amount of time and funding. However, after launching this first system, we will systematically increase the equipment of other shelters in the capital with these devices," explained the head of the KCMA, Serhiy Popko.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that Zelensky had put into effect the NSDC decision regarding shelters. The Cabinet of Ministers now has to ensure systematic inspections of shelters.
