The military mutiny of the head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, has caused confusion among Chinese entrepreneurs working with Russia. Some of them have stopped supplying goods to this country.

In particular, Shen Muhui, head of the Fujian provincial trade association, said that during the rebellion, disputes arose between partners exporting auto parts, equipment and clothing to Russia. Businessmen believed that there would be big problems, he said.
Although the situation has defused, some of them still prefer to wait it out, Muhui added, declining to name the companies that have suspended shipments.
Reuters writes that China's leadership has tried to downplay Saturday's events in the press and expressed support for Russia, but a number of experts question whether the rebellion will undermine the close political and economic ties between Moscow and Beijing.
Shen Dingli, a Shanghai-based international relations expert, said that China will now "be more cautious in its words and actions towards Russia."
Yang Jun, a professor at the Chinese University of Political Science and Law in Beijing, wrote in the local newspaper Lianhe Zaobao that China should directly support Ukraine so that Russia does not drag it into a quagmire of war.
He believes that Beijing should further adjust its position and resolutely take the side of the winners.
