Zelensky proposes to Parliament to change dates of three holidays
This concerns Christmas, Ukrainian Statehood Day, and Defender of Ukraine Day

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has submitted to parliament a bill proposing changes to holiday dates in the calendar.
This is stated on the Verkhovna Rada (Ukrainian Parliament) website.
In particular, the proposal is to move the celebration of Christmas from 7 January to 25 December.
Additionally, the bill proposes changes to the dates of two other holidays, namely: 15 July – Ukrainian Statehood Day (instead of 28 July), and 1 October – Defender of Ukraine Day (instead of 14 October).
It is noted that, once the document is adopted, these days will become holidays, but only after the termination of the state of emergency.
"The aim of the bill is to reject the imposed russian heritage of celebrating Christmas on 7 January and to establish the date of Christmas celebration on 25 December," the document explains.
