The NEURC has approved a tariff increase for cold water supply to the public, on average by 30%
The increase will be phased – from July 1 and September 1

The National Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission (NEURC), approved a phased increase in tariffs for cold water supply and water disposal for the population, they will increase by approximately 30% depending on the region.
The regulator approved the relevant decision at the meeting.
The decision to review tariffs affects 34 water utilities.
"The average increase, according to our calculations, is within the average of 30%," said NEURC member Ruslan Kaydash.
According to the commission, the water bill for an average family will additionally be around 60 UAH. For those families who receive subsidies, the tariff increase will not affect expenses, as their subsidies will also be recalculated, it was stated at the meeting.
The Commission noted that among the factors that influenced the decision to review tariffs were the increase in electricity costs, as well as the price of reagents, changes in sales volumes, changes in labour payment costs, and fulfilment of financial obligations under loans.
Background. As reported by Mind, the government decided to raise the electricity tariff for the population to 2.64 UAH per kWh from June 1.
