Zelensky: "Negotiations with russia will be possible only after reaching the 1991 borders"
The President essentially confirmed the information in WP about the possibility of negotiations with the Kremlin

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky indirectly confirmed the information presented in yesterday's publication of The Washington Post regarding the possibility of negotiations with russia.
During a joint press conference with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez in Kyiv, Zelensky said that Ukraine would be ready to negotiate with russia only after the Armed Forces of Ukraine reach the 1991 borders.
Source. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine.
"We emphasize once again: Ukraine will be ready for one or another format of diplomacy when we are really on our borders. On our real borders in accordance with international law," Zelensky emphasized.
NATO obliges Ukraine to make a lot of compromises, but not all of them are worth keeping, Zelensky said.
According to him, Ukraine will in no way compromise on its territorial integrity. In addition, the president expects to receive a clear signal of NATO membership at the summit in Vilnius.
"As for compromises on NATO. Again, you use the word compromise, and then you talk about compromises on borders, isn't that too many compromises for one state," he said.
The day before, the Washington Post, citing its own sources, reported that the idea of negotiating a truce with russia after a successful counteroffensive was recently presented in Kyiv to CIA chief William Burns, who secretly visited Kyiv in June.
Zelensky reiterated on Saturday that negotiations with Moscow are only possible if Ukraine has a significant military success.
Background. The chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, reportedly said recently that the Ukrainian counteroffensive is slower than many expected, but progress is steadily increasing.
