wagner PMC says it suspends the recruitment of mercenaries for the Ukraine war
The pause will last a month, as stated in the announcement.

The wagner PMC posted announcements in its Telegram channels stating that the recruitment of mercenaries has been suspended for a month. The post has been published, among others, on the wagner PMC | Job Announcements channel.
"Due to the temporary non-participation of the wagner PMC in the special military operation and the move to the republic of belarus, we are temporarily suspending the operation of regional recruitment centres for the wagner PMC for 1 month", the statement said.
Just a few days ago, a journalist from The Insider outlet was told at a wagner PMC recruitment centre that they were continuing to recruit mercenaries to participate in the war in Ukraine and were not sending anyone to belarus.
A correspondent from The Insider called the PMC's hotline, posing as a russian looking for work. When asked if he would have to sign a contract with the russian Ministry of Defence, a PMC employee responded:
"No, we have no relation to the Ministry of Defence".
He also assured that nobody plans to serve under the guidance of sergei shoigu, the Minister of Defence.
After the military mutiny organised by yevgeny prigozhin, the founder of the wagner PMC, together with the mercenaries, his fate, as well as the fate of the very organisation, has come into question. russian dictator putin publicly called Prigozhin a traitor.
Mercenaries of the PMC were once again offered to sign a contract with the russian ministry of defence.
alexander lukashenko said that prigozhin himself and some of his mercenaries had gone to belarus. There were reports that camps for the wagner group were being built there. And in the state duma, it was announced that Prigozhin's people would no longer participate in the war against Ukraine.
