Threads is already banning Ukrainians for posts about the war
The new social platform follows similar rules as Instagram, Twitter and Facebook

The social networking site Threads, the main competitor of Twitter, is already banning Ukrainians for posts about the war and russian aggression.
This is reported by AIN.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the platform has already been downloaded 30 million times since its launch.
Many users from Ukraine also started testing Threads, writing posts about russians and publishing content about the war.
However, the new social network blocks posts on the topic of the russian invasion, following similar rules that exist on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
Thus, all content that a user uploads to this network must comply with them, but not limited to such prohibitions:
- only video or text that either belongs to the user or to which the user has rights can be posted;
- nude images (in particular, images of sex, genitals and buttocks) may not be posted;
- restrictions may be applied to partially or fully nude photos of children posted by their parents;
- spamming, giveways for likes, comments or subscriptions are not allowed;
- do not post support for terrorism, organised crime or groups that hate anyone;
- do not post threats and hate speech: "It's never OK to encourage violence or attack someone based on their race, ethnicity, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability or illness," the rules say.
