DTEK plans to put power units back into operation due to war
Reactivating two units will bring more than 500 MW to the grid

DTEK Energy has reactivated one TPP unit and plans to reactivate another.
This was announced by the company's CEO Ildar Saleyev.
"At the end of last year and at the beginning of this year, we put one unit back into operation, which we had not done for a long time, and if not for the war, we probably would not have done it any further. And this year we have plans to reactivate one more unit," said Saleyev.
He explained that these units were idle for technical reasons, so reconstruction measures have been taken and are still being implemented. At the same time, Saleyev added that this also contributed to an increase in the cost of scheduled maintenance at the TPP from UAH 2.2 billion last year to UAH 3.5 billion this year.
According to Saleyev, the reactivation of these units will add more than 500 MW to the grid.
Background. As a reminder: DTEK invested UAH 1.5 billion in the repair of thermal power plants in 2023. Since the beginning of the year, the company has already repaired 7 power units, and the same number of units are currently under repair. A total of 27 units are planned to be repaired over the course of the year.
