Following the reinstatement of pre-war VAT and excise rates, fuel prices have on average increased by 3-3.45 UAH/litre, according to consulting group A-95

After the return of the full VAT and excise rates from July 1, the range of fuel price increases ranged from 0 to 6 UAH/litre. This was reported by Serhiy Kuyun, director of the consulting company A-95.

He notes that the following dynamics is currently observed at petrol stations:

- A-95 petrol – plus 3.01 UAH/l (an increase in the tax burden by UAH 11 per litre);

- Diesel fuel – plus 3.45 UAH/l (8 UAH/l);

- Autogas – 1.47 UAH/l (3 UAH/l)

The largest network in the country, owned by the Privat group, has left its prices unchanged. The biggest surge was shown by economy networks, which trade in the lower price range and have the smallest margin. Conversely, premium networks were slightly more restrained.

“As for prospects, they were well outlined by the wholesale market, which started to rise even on the eve of tax changes, petrol A-95 – 7.74 UAH/l, diesel fuel – 6.97 UAH/l,” – Kuyun summed up.
