UkrAutoProm named the largest regional car markets and their best sellers
This list is topped by the city of Kyiv
In the first half of 2023, the largest regional markets for new passenger cars in Ukraine were: the city of Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Odesa, and Lviv oblasts.
This was reported by UkrAutoProm.
From January to June, Kyiv residents purchased 8,911 new cars.
- Residents of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast bought 2,358 new cars.
- In Kyiv Oblast, 2,181 units were registered.
- In Odesa Oblast – 1,491 units.
- In Lviv Oblast – 1,439 units.
In these markets, except for Kyiv Oblast, the bestseller was the Renault Duster crossover. In Kyiv Oblast, the Volkswagen ID.4 electric car was the leader.
Over the same period, the highest registration figures for used cars imported from abroad were demonstrated by:
- Lviv Oblast – 10,131 units;
- Vinnytsia Oblast – 6,520 units;
- Kyiv city – 5,999 units;
- Rivne Oblast – 5,093 units;
- Dnipropetrovsk Oblast – 5,074 units.
In this market segment, the most popular car in Lviv, Vinnytsia, and Rivne oblasts was the Volkswagen Golf. While in the capital and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, the Renault Megane was more in demand.
