Another high-ranking general who complained about Shoigu has been removed from command in russia

russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has dismissed Major General Vladimir Seliverstov from the post of commander of the 106th Airborne Division. This information was disseminated by the Z-channel Military Informant and the channel of the Cheka-OGPU.

Major General Seliverstov was in command of the division that had been fighting in Bakhmut since January of this year.

The reasons for the general's removal from command are still unknown, but according to the "military officers," a possible reason was Seliverstov's intransigent character and his unwillingness to remain silent when defending issues related to the personnel.

It is noted that Seliverstov did not always agree with the decisions of the Airborne Forces headquarters.

An attempt by the governor of the Tula region, Aleksey Dyumin, to stand up for the general during his visit to moscow did not help resolve the situation with his dismissal, the Cheka-OGPU channel notes.

As a reminder, the Office of the President of Ukraine called the 106th Airborne Division of the russian federation involved in the killing of civilians in the Kyiv suburbs: Bucha, Hostomel and Irpin. Seliverstov's subordinates are suspected of involvement in the execution of Ukrainian photojournalist Max Levin in March 2022.

After the mutiny of Yevgeny Prigozhin and the Wagner PMC, about 15 russian officers were suspended or dismissed from service. Another 13 people were detained for questioning, some of whom were later released, sources told The Wall Street Journal.

Among the detainees was Sergei Surovikin, the group's deputy commander in Ukraine. In addition to Surovikin, several other high-ranking officers were detained. According to the WSJ, Surovikin was interrogated in moscow, although he has not yet been charged.
