russia lost half of its paratroopers in Ukraine – UK intelligence
At least 50% of the 30,000 paratroopers that were sent to Ukraine in 2022 were killed or injured

russia lost at least half of the 30,000 paratroopers who were sent to Ukraine in 2022, according to UK intelligence.
It is pointed out that during the celebration of russia's Airborne Forces (VDV) Day on 2 August 2023, there was an unauthorized disclosure of data on russia's massive losses in the war.
The Commander-in-Chief of russia's Airborne Forces, Lieutenant General Mikhail Teplinsky, announced in a video message that 8,500 paratroopers had been wounded and later returned to duty or had refused to leave the front line at all.
The video was quickly removed from the official channels of russia's Ministry of Defence. Meanwhile, Teplinsky did not say how many russian paratroopers had been killed or seriously injured in Ukraine.
According to the intelligence data, Teplinksy’s figures endorse the assessment that at least 50% of the 30,000 paratroopers who deployed to Ukraine in 2022 have been killed or wounded. This amounts to at least 15,000 military personnel.
