Ukrainian Danube Shipping (UDS) has released a fleet of two vessels that were impounded in Serbia for over a year under a russian lawsuit.
This was announced by the company's CEO, Dmytro Moskalenko.
The tug Bratyslava and the self-propelled vessel Mekhanyk Holovatskyi are returning to Ukraine from Serbia.
The arrest was imposed following a lawsuit by Serbian company NIS Gazprom Neft, the majority owner of which is Gazprom Neft and Gazprom.
"The previous management of UDS somehow ordered the bunkering service of our ships from the russians. We ceased all relations with the enemy and received a lawsuit in response. russia managed to seize the entire UDS fleet, but we repelled the attack and continued to operate on the Middle Danube and carry out trips to Serbia. Only two vessels remained hostage," Moskalenko reported.
Background. Ukrainian Danube Shipping and the International Finance Corporation from the World Bank Group recently agreed on the modernization and expansion of the fleet in Ukraine.
