According to Reuters, the new package will include demining equipment, ammunition for Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, Javelin anti-tank systems, HIMARS missiles, as well as other equipment and ammunition.
These funds became available as a result of an accounting error in calculating the cost of military equipment from the previously allocated $6.2 billion aid package.
At the same time, the administration of US President Joe Biden is working on a request for additional funding for Ukraine, which will be ready for consideration by Congress by the fall.
