Polish logistics company Laude has moved its assets worth €100 million from russia to Ukraine

Laude Group, a Polish logistics operator, has transferred assets worth €100 million from russia and Central Asia to Ukraine.

The company plans to invest another €250 million in an economic exchange programme between Ukraine and the EU, the Laude press service reported, cited by Interfax-Ukraine.

"Laude Group is expanding its potential in Ukraine. The logistics company from Toruń (Poland) has transferred its assets worth €100 million to Ukraine over the past few months. These are all assets that were previously located in russia and Central Asia," the statement said.

It is noted that, among other things, the move included 510 specialised railway platforms and several thousand containers that are actively used to transport products from Ukraine to Europe.

The company plans to increase investments in Ukraine by purchasing locomotives, wagons, and containers.

"We have decided to implement an investment programme worth about €250 million aimed at economic exchange between Europe and Ukraine. Railways here are a key element for both exports and imports, and the company is an important operator," said CEO Marcin Witczak.

Laude said that in May, after a thorough and lengthy review, it received approval to cooperate with Ukrzaliznytsia.

"This is a key agreement, which means that we are very closely connected to the Ukrainian market," commented Witczak.

At the same time, Laude's development plans go beyond expanding its logistics systems. "Among the company's several hundred employees, there are many specialists from Ukraine. We are working on a training programme for drivers from Ukraine," said the company's CEO.

Laude emphasised that it did not stop working in Ukraine after the full-scale invasion. The company has ceased operations in russia.

The Laude terminal in Zamość can handle 10 trains per day and up to 15 thousand TEU containers per year.

Laude Group of Companies is owned by ATS S.A., one of the largest steel importers from Ukraine to the EU. Laude is active in international markets through its companies, connecting eastern and western transportation routes through Poland. Over the past 15 years, the company has been operating in Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Moldova. The company cooperates with contractors from Turkey, China, and India. In recent years, it has been actively investing in the development of Laude in Germany.
