Estonia, Lithuania, and Latvia have joined the G7 declaration on "security guarantees" concerning support for Ukraine, which was adopted at the NATO summit in Vilnius.
This is stated in a joint statement by the prime ministers of the three Baltic states.
"We firmly believe that only NATO membership will provide Ukraine with security guarantees and a credible deterrent needed to avert future aggression by expansionist russia. Ukraine's NATO membership will also substantially strengthen Euro-Atlantic security and stability," emphasised the prime ministers.
According to the statement, the countries will aim "to establish security commitments and arrangements that would help Ukraine win this war as soon as possible." Additionally, they will "support economic stability and reconstruction, resilience, reform agenda and advance its European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations" in Ukraine's journey towards the EU and NATO.
