NYT: Total losses of russia and Ukraine, according to the US, may reach half a million
Of these, the ratio of those killed is 120,000 in russia to 70,000 in Ukraine

The total losses of russia and Ukraine since the beginning of the russian invasion, according to the US, could reach 500,000 people, with russia losing up to 120,000 people in the death toll and Ukraine up to 70,000.
Source. This was reported by the New York Times.
The newspaper reports, citing anonymous interlocutors in U.S. official structures, that russia's total losses, according to their estimates, are close to 300 thousand: 120,000 killed and 170-180,000 wounded.
Ukraine, according to these estimates, lost up to 70,000 soldiers killed and 100-120,000 wounded.
The New York Times reminds us that it is difficult to calculate the losses of the parties in this war, and these estimates may be inaccurate. moscow is clearly underreporting its losses, while Kyiv is not publishing any at all, having officially stated at the beginning of the war that the data on losses would be published only after it was over.
As for the total number of troops, the Americans estimate that russia has an almost threefold advantage: the Ukrainian Armed Forces have about 500,000 people, while the russian Armed Forces have 1.33 million.
Both estimates include active units, reserves, and paramilitary groups and organizations, such as the Wagner PMC.
Background. As reported, the UK Ministry of Defence signed three contracts to supply Ukraine with anti-drone weapons.
