Dutch MPs claim they were not consulted on decision to supply F-16 fighters to Ukraine – media reports
They argue that pivotal decisions like this warrant parliamentary consultation, especially during a governmental transition

Members of the Dutch parliament, representing both far-left and far-right parties, have asserted that Prime Minister Mark Rutte failed to consult them regarding the decision to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighters.
This claim was highlighted by the Euractiv publication.
"Supply of F-16s to Ukraine is a far-reaching decision that must be discussed with the House of Representatives first. Especially when a government is outgoing," noted socialist MP Jasper van Dijk on Twitter.
The MP has tabled a series of questions directed at the Prime Minister. These include inquiries on whether the F-16s might be deployed within the territory referred to as "terrorist nation russia" and how this decision aims to deter further escalation of the conflict.
Background. Earlier, Mind reported that the Netherlands intended to dispatch 42 F-16 aircraft to Ukraine.
