SBU initiates criminal case against head of Russian FSIN Gostev
He organized a network of torture basements throughout the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine

The Security Service of Ukraine has opened a criminal case against Arkady Gostev, director of the Russian Federal Penitentiary Service.
The relevant decision of Moscow was enshrined in Order No. 97-r signed by the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
According to the investigation, the prison facilities created by the aggressor are used by the racists as "concentration camps" and torture chambers where residents of the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine are imprisoned.
In the prisons, people are subjected to brutal torture, including the use of electric shocks and staged "executions."
At the same time, it is Gostev who is responsible for appointing the heads of the occupation prisons and determines the "regime" of their activities as part of the occupying bodies of the Russian Federation.
In this way, he personally organizes and controls the participation of his "subordinates" in punitive measures against members of the resistance movement in the temporarily occupied regions of Ukraine, the SBU emphasizes.
Based on the evidence collected, SBU investigators notified Guestev of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code – actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or seizure of state power.
