Switzerland to donate a demining machine to Ukraine
However, the machine is to be used only in the Ukrainian rear, not on the front line

In September, Switzerland will donate a machine to Ukraine to help clear the liberated territories. A press release from the Swiss Federal Council says that the remote-controlled tracked vehicle will be handed over to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service, BBC reports.
It will be used by Ukrainian sappers to carry out "humanitarian demining."
The text suggests that the machine can neutralize anti-personnel mines and unexploded cluster munitions by destroying them or by detonating them by running over them with a roller.
Thus, the text of the press release suggests that the Swiss machine should be used only in the Ukrainian rear, not on the front.
Switzerland, strictly adhering to neutrality, does not supply weapons to participants in military conflicts, and during this war, it prohibited European countries from transferring Swiss-made weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.
Along with the machine, Switzerland will donate a trailer for its transportation and spare parts for three years of operation. The total value of this package is 1.2 million Swiss francs ($1.36 million).
Background. As a reminder, Switzerland's largest bank will close the accounts of most Russian clients. First of all, this will affect Russian offshore companies that Credit Suisse serviced from Switzerland.
