Russia is trying to interfere in the elections in Poland and cast doubt on their legitimacy - government official
For this purpose, the Kremlin uses propaganda and disinformation

Russia is trying to interfere in public debate in Poland, according to Stanislaw Żaryn, State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office. In his opinion, destabilizing actions may be carried out before the elections.
The Government Commissioner for Information Space Security noted that attempts to interfere with the elections are being made by Russia through disinformation or propaganda campaigns.
"We must be aware that these measures will continue until the election. On the election day, which is scheduled for October 15, Poland will be subjected to information pressure and a possible attempt to destabilize the country," he emphasized.
Stanislav Zharyn assessed that the expediency of these actions on the part of Russia depends, among other things, on whether Polish society will be receptive to them.
He added that after the elections, Russians will also try to question their legitimacy.
On October 15, 2023, Poland will hold regular parliamentary elections to elect the entire Sejm and Senate. As a result, 460 members of the Sejm and 100 senators will be elected.
