Bundestag declares that Ukraine has the right to strike at targets in Russia
Strak-Zimmermann calls on the German government to immediately supply Ukraine with long-range Taurus missiles

According to international law, Ukraine has the right to strike at military targets on the territory of the aggressor country, Russia.
This was stated by the head of the Bundestag Defense Committee, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, Evropeiska Pravda reports, citing her interview with the Funke-Mediengruppe media group.
As noted, Strack-Zimmermann called on the German government to immediately supply Ukraine with long-range Taurus missiles.
According to her, through the targeted use of these missiles, the Ukrainian army can seriously disrupt Russian logistics. At the same time, she believes that it should be recognized that Kyiv can use Taurus to attack targets in Russia.
"International law also allows Ukraine to attack military targets on the territory of the Russian aggressor. Regardless of where these weapons were produced and who supplied them," she said.
She also warned German Chancellor Olaf Scholz against further delays in the delivery of missiles, which has been discussed for six months.
"We must deliver the Taurus immediately, because the Ukrainian army can seriously disrupt Russian supplies by targeting cruise missiles. Each of us is weighing our actions. But you can also prolong the suffering by hesitating too long," explained Strack-Zimmermann.
As a reminder, Germany is delaying the decision to provide Ukraine with Taurus cruise missiles. Chancellor Olaf Scholz believes that Ukrainian troops will start using these weapons to strike at the territory of Russia, so he is the one who is slowing down these deliveries.
