A rocket fired by Hamas hit a mosque near Jerusalem built by Kadyrov in honor of his father

Another rocket fired by the Palestinian radical group Hamas from the Gaza Strip toward Jerusalem hit Akhmat Kadyrov's mosque in the village of Abu Ghosh.

At least one person was wounded in Abu Ghosh and several residents of another Jerusalem suburb, Beitar Illit, were injured during the shelling.

The mosque in Abu Ghosh was opened by the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in 2014 and named after his father. Abu Ghosh authorities reported that $10 million was spent on the construction, including $6 million from the Chechen government.

Despite this,  Ramzan Kadyrov expressed support for Palestine, calling on the international community to make a "unanimous and fair decision" on the situation in the region. He called on the leaders of Muslim countries to form a coalition.

"Create a coalition and call on those whom you call friends, Europe and the entire West, not to bomb civilians under the pretext of destroying militants," the Chechen leader said.

"We support Palestine. And we are against this war, which, unlike other conflicts, can escalate into something bigger," Kadyrov said in a telegram channel. He also expressed his readiness to send Chechen units to the region.

"If necessary, our units are ready to act as a peacekeeping force to restore order and counteract any disturbers," he said.

Background. Meanwhile, it was reported that Hamas threatened to start killing hostages from Israel in case of attacks on civilians in Gaza. Israel said it was ready to continue strikes, despite the hostages.
