Only one power plant in Gaza stops working
There are 300,000 liters of fuel left in the reserves, which is enough for only 10-12 hours of operation

The power plant that supplies energy to the entire Gaza Strip has stopped working. The region was left without electricity, water and communication.
Source. This was reported by the Iranian Mehr News Agency.
Earlier, the press service of the Palestinian government in Gaza warned of the upcoming shutdown of the power plant: "The Gaza Strip is facing a possible humanitarian catastrophe. With the complete shutdown of the power plant, the region will be completely left in darkness, and the provision of aid to the victims and basic services to the residents of the area will be severely hampered."
Zafer Malham, the head of Gaza's power company, said that 300,000 liters of fuel remained in the reserves, which is enough for only 10-12 hours of operation.
"More than two million people in the Gaza Strip are in danger, and we call for urgent action by the international community and humanitarian organizations to stop the crimes and massacre of Palestinians in Gaza," the local government said in a statement.
Israel has previously promised to impose a complete blockade of Gaza, cutting off access to food, water and fuel.
This was stated by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant. "There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel. Everything will be closed," the Times of Israel quoted the minister as saying.
On Saturday, October 7, Israeli Energy Minister Israel Katz ordered to cut off electricity supplies to the Gaza Strip, which is largely dependent on Israeli supplies.
Background. As reported, the European Commission is freezing aid payments to Palestine in the amount of almost 700 million euros.
