Captured Hamas militants say they were promised $10,000 for each hostage taken in Israel
As of today, Hamas has released only 4 hostages out of approximately 210

The Israeli security service Shin Bet and the police released a video with fragments of interrogations of six Hamas militants who participated in the October 7 attack on Israel.
According to The Jerusalem Post, the interrogators said that all the militants were ordered to kill and kidnap civilians, including women, children, and the elderly.
One of the arrested said that the militants were promised $10,000 and an apartment for each hostage brought to Gaza.
The militants said that, according to the plan, they were supposed to hold the settlements even after they finished killing and abducting local residents.
At the same time, Hamas commanders who gave orders remained in the Gaza Strip during the attack. The interrogated confirmed that the terrorists used the captured residents as human shields and set fire to houses to force people to leave the shelters in which they were hiding.
According to The Jerusalem Post, each of the interrogators was asked whether Islam permits all the things they did. All six answered that they did not, because "Islam does not allow the killing of women and children."
The day before, the Israeli Defense Forces showed journalists a video with footage from surveillance cameras and from Hamas body cameras. The footage depicts the killing of civilians in settlements on the border with the Gaza Strip and festival attendees. The journalists were also shown photos of murdered (burned and maimed) babies.
As of today, Hamas has released only 4 hostages. In particular, two elderly women were released the day before, 85-year-old Yohaveda Lifshitz and 79-year-old Nurit Cooper, who were kidnapped on October 7 during an attack on Kibbutz Nir Oz. Lifshitz was kidnapped along with her 83-year-old husband, who remains hostage.
According to the Israeli Defense Forces, militants are holding at least 210 hostages in the Gaza Strip, including about 30 children and up to 20 elderly people. Most of the captured people are Israeli citizens, but there are also foreigners. On October 20, it became known that two US citizens were released: Yehudit Raanan and her daughter Natalie.
Background. The day before, Israel announced that it was ready to conduct a ground operation in Gaza. At the same time, the United States and European governments are urging Israel to postpone the invasion of the Gaza Strip in order to release the hostages.
