The new spokesman for the US House of Representatives, Trump supporter Mike Johnson, wants to urgently pass a decision on a separate aid package for Israel, rather than a large package of aid to Ukraine, Israel and other allies, as requested by President Joe Biden.

Mike Johnson said on Fox News that a draft decision on aid to Israel will be introduced in the House of Representatives this week. Members of the House of Representatives will return to work on Wednesday, November 1.
"There are many things going on in the world that we should and will pay attention to. But right now, what's happening in Israel requires immediate attention, and we need to highlight this issue and take action," Johnson was quoted as saying.
President Biden is asking Congress to approve a $106 billion package, most of which is earmarked for military aid to Ukraine and the rest for Israel, Taiwan, and other US allies.
Johnson says that the first item on the US foreign policy agenda after the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack should be aid to Israel.
