Biden will veto bill on aid to Israel if it does not include Ukraine - Ukrinform
Kirby emphasized that the White House expects all four areas of funding to be approved

U.S. President Joe Biden expects Congress to approve a $106 billion request with funds for Ukraine, Israel, and other needs. The head of state intends to veto alternative initiatives, such as support for Israel through the US Internal Revenue Service.
Source. This was stated on Thursday in Washington by the coordinator of the White House National Security Council John Kirby, Ukrinform reports.
"The president will veto the bill with the help of Israel alone," the White House spokesman said.
Kirby emphasized that the request for additional funding of $106 billion, submitted to Congress by President Biden last month, contains "four really critical national security needs."
The official specified that this includes support for Israel, Ukraine, ensuring US interests in the Indo-Pacific region, and border security.
"All four items are important," the White House official emphasized.
According to him, President Biden expects that all these needs will be approved simultaneously by American congressmen.
The day before, the US Senate Appropriations Committee held a hearing to approve the US President's request for $106 billion. At the same time, the conservative wing of the Republicans in the House of Representatives refused to support the presidential package and introduced an initiative to support only Israel by cutting funding for the US Internal Revenue Service.
