Slovak carriers organized a "warning blockade" from 13:00 to 14:00 on the border with Ukraine
They promise to wait another week and demand that Brussels introduce permits for the transportation of Ukrainian cars

On November 16, Slovak carriers blocked the road to the Vysne Nemecke border crossing for one hour with their own cars. The Slovaks threaten that if Brussels does not resolve the situation, they will completely block the border with Ukraine, thus joining the Polish protesters in solidarity.
This was reported by the Slovak agency TASR.
Slovak carriers blocked the road to the crossing with cars from 13:00 to 14:00. Representatives of Polish carriers also took part in the protest, blocking the border with Ukraine in Poland.
"If there is no progress, the Poles will continue to block the border, and we will join in by blocking the entire Vysne Nemecke. We will be forced to, because there is no other way," Stanislav Skala, the head of the Union of Road Carriers of Slovakia (UNAS), told TASR.
He also added that his Hungarian colleagues are also making similar calls.
The statement emphasized that Slovak road carriers threaten to completely block the border with Ukraine if the European Commission (EC) does not resolve the situation. They demand that Brussels introduce permits for the transportation of Ukrainian vehicles, as European companies cannot compete with them.
"We will wait seven days to see if they will give us an answer and whether they will deal with these permits or not," Skala said.
The Slovak Customs Administration later said that the hour-long blockade did not affect their work. Police also reported no violations and assured that they would monitor public order in the area of the checkpoint.
"The police will monitor the traffic situation and are ready to take operational and other measures," said Denisa Bardyova, a spokeswoman for the Police Presidium (PZ).
As it is known, Polish carriers have threatened to close all checkpoints with the Ukrainian side starting in November due to excessive competition after the liberalization of international transportation between Ukraine and the EU.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Vasyl Zvarych said that the decision of Polish carriers to block the road near three checkpoints on the border with Ukraine is a stab in the back. Such measures should be stopped.
The movement of freight transport is hampered in the direction of three checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border: "Yagodyn-Dorohusk, Krakivets-Korchova, and Rava-Ruska-Hrebenne.
As of November 9, more than 20,000 vehicles were blocked on the Ukrainian-Polish border on both sides as a result of the strike by Polish carriers.
