The first ten Lynx vehicles are already being assembled in Germany and Hungary as part of the joint production

According to Reuters, the German concern Rheinmetall may launch production of Fuchs armored personnel carriers by the end of summer 2024 and Lynx infantry fighting vehicles by the summer of 2025.
On October 24, it was announced that Rheinmetall and Ukroboronprom had established a joint venture.
In an interview with WirtschaftsWoche, the company's CEO Armin Papperger said that the assembly of the first ten Lynx vehicles as part of the joint production is already underway in Germany and Hungary.
"After the production ramp-up phase, we have to quickly move to producing a significant number of these machines entirely in Ukraine," he said. According to him, the German government intends to grant the export permit necessary for production.
Background. As reported, Rheinmetall has signed a contract with Ukraine to supply 25 Leopard 1 tanks in 2024 – the order is funded by the German government and its value is "around two figures" in millions of euros.
