The Armed Forces of Ukraine shared data on battles with the Russian army with the Bundeswehr

The protection of Ukraine's airspace is the main task, said Lieutenant General Andreas Marlow, head of the Special Training Command, during a visit to the military training ground where Ukrainians were trained. He reminded that Russian missile attacks are aimed at civilian infrastructure in Ukraine.
During Marlow's visit, the Ukrainian Armed Forces demonstrated their skills in working with the fire control center and preparing launchers for action. Many Ukrainian soldiers already have experience with other air defense systems, such as the S-300, developed in the Soviet era. According to one of the German instructors, these are "experienced soldiers who have previously worked in the air defense field."
Andreas Marlow noted that the Ukrainian military has reached a level of training that will allow them to work independently with the Patriot system.
For their part, representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared with their German colleagues "tactical advice and information gained during battles with the Russian army – from ground and engineering troops to air defense," the general said. He added that based on this data, the Bundeswehr is revising its own operational principles.
The location of the Ukrainian military training is kept secret.
The Bundeswehr, in cooperation with foreign partners, intends to train about 10,000 Ukrainian servicemen to operate various weapons systems by the end of this year.
In October, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz promised Ukraine further arms supplies and financial support. The centerpiece of the "winter package" is air defense equipment.
Germany will also supply Ukraine with an additional Patriot system to combat enemy aircraft, as well as ballistic and cruise missiles. Depending on their type, the missiles of this system are capable of hitting targets at a distance of about 100 km and an altitude of up to 30 km.
