Lubinets: Russian authorities began to return Ukrainian children faster after the ICC arrest warrant for Putin was issued
He expressed hope that new arrest warrants will be issued for Russian officials

The arrest warrants for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Children's Ombudsman Maria Lvova-Belova have accelerated the process of returning abducted Ukrainian children to their homeland.
Source. This was stated by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets, quoted by Reuters.
In March, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Putin and Lvivova-Belova on charges of war crimes in connection with the illegal deportation of children to Russia during the war.
Kyiv officially confirms the deportation of 19,546 children and warns that the actual number may be higher.
"If at least one deported child returned home every day, it would take Ukraine more than 55 years to return them all," Lubinets said on Telegram.
On Wednesday, December 6, eight children returned to Ukraine from Russia and the temporarily occupied territories as part of a deal organized by Qatar.
"I don't know what arguments are working for Russia, but they have started to give children back. It is not systematic in small groups, but they have started to give children back," Lubinets said.
He said that Ukraine managed to return 387 children from Russia and several more from the territories annexed by Moscow.
Lubinets expressed hope that new arrest warrants will be issued for Russian officials. He noted that many representatives of Russia have been involved in the deportations that have been taking place since 2014. In addition, according to him, Moscow began to take children through the territory of Belarus to complicate the process of tracking and confirming their whereabouts.
Background. Earlier, it was reported that the head of the "Just Russia" party and his wife kidnapped a girl from occupied Kherson and adopted her.
