Sweden has provided SEK 1.4 billion to help the civilian population of Ukraine
The money will be used, among other things, to purchase equipment for Ukrainian power grids and to build shelters in schools

Sweden is donating 1.4 billion kronor ($133 million) to Ukraine, which will be used to support the country's population in the winter.
The new support package was presented on Monday by Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Aid Minister Johan Forsell.
This is the largest single support for Ukraine from Sweden to date, said Ulf Kristersson at a press conference.
The bulk of the money, SEK 900 million, will go to the World Bank's Ukraine Recovery Fund.
This fund supports Ukraine's infrastructure in the areas of energy, housing, healthcare and transportation.
The money taken from the Swedish aid budget will be used, among other things, to purchase heating equipment and Ukrainian power grids, as well as to finance other measures to help Ukrainians survive the winter, such as building shelters in schools.
Background. Earlier it became known that Sweden is considering providing Ukraine with Gripen fighters in addition to F-16s.
