Bloomberg: Hungarian authorities name amount for which they will agree to lift blockade of financial aid for Ukraine
However, according to Orban, Ukraine's accession to the European Union still remains a "red line" for Budapest

Political advisor to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban Balazs Orban said that the Hungarian authorities would be ready to lift the veto on EU funding for Ukraine if it receives a financial package worth 30 billion euros from the European Union.
Source. This was reported by Bloomberg.
Last year, Brussels refused to provide Budapest with this package because of the unsatisfactory situation in Hungary related to bribery and violation of the rule of law.
However, after changes in the legislation to strengthen the independence of the courts, recently adopted by Budapest, the EU allocated 10 billion euros to Hungary.
The remaining 20 billion euros are blocked due to several dozen other unsatisfied claims, including the observance of LGBT rights, academic freedoms, and asylum rights.
Hungary blocks a €50 billion financial aid package for Ukraine for four years. According to Balázs Orban, the issues of financing Hungary and Ukraine are not related, but "if the EU insists on financing Ukraine from the cut budget, then these two issues must be linked."
At the same time, Ukraine's accession to the European Union remains, according to Orban, a "red line" for Budapest, as, in his opinion, Ukraine does not meet the organization's criteria.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has repeatedly spoken out against supporting Ukraine. He suggested that the West conclude an agreement with Russia under which Ukraine would not claim Crimea and join NATO.
Background. As reported, Orban wants to block the start of negotiations with Ukraine on EU accession. He believes that the European Commission's proposal for Ukraine's accession is "unreasonable and poorly prepared."
