UN Human Rights Commissioner condemns massive shelling of Ukrainian cities
He called on Russia to immediately stop shelling civilian objects

The UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, condemned the massive missile attack on Ukraine on Friday. He called on Moscow to stop the shelling "immediately".
"I am shocked by yet another Russian full-scale series of coordinated attacks with missiles and drones on the territory of Ukraine at night," Turk said.
He emphasized that international humanitarian law explicitly prohibits attacks intentionally directed at civilian objects, as well as indiscriminate attacks under any circumstances.
According to the Ukrainian authorities, at least 22 civilians were killed and 132 others were injured in the missile attack in all affected cities.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the bodies of three more victims were recovered from the rubble of a warehouse in the Shevchenkivskyi district over the past few hours. Thus, the death toll from the morning attack on the capital has risen to 7.
Background. On the night of December 29, the Russians carried out their most massive attack yet: the enemy used 122 missiles and 36 UAVs against Ukraine – the air force managed to shoot down 27 Shaheds and 87 cruise missiles.
