Hungary confirms it will not supply Ukraine with weapons
At the same time, the parties made a "powerful" step for the meeting between Zelenskyy and Orban

Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has confirmed that Hungary will not help Ukraine with weapons.
He said this at a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba and Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak.
"I must tell you that in the future we will not supply weapons, as we have not supplied them before. At the same time, we have never refused to help any Ukrainian citizen in trouble," Szijjarto said.
According to him, Hungary is ready to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine, expressing hope that the war will not last long.
Hungary continues to support peace talks between Ukraine and Russia. To this end, Budapest is ready to provide everything necessary, Szijjarto confirmed.
Peter Szijjarto met today with Dmytro Kuleba and Andriy Yermak in Uzhhorod.
After the meeting, Yermak said that the parties "made a powerful step" towards a meeting between the leaders of the two countries, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Viktor Orban.
"Today, both sides have made it absolutely clear that they are interested in holding a meeting at the level of the prime minister of Hungary and the president of Ukraine, and we have made a very powerful step towards this meeting today," he said.
Background. As a reminder, Hungary made concessions and the EU created a €5 billion fund to help Ukraine. The new fund, unlike the previous one, will be used to purchase new weapons through joint procurement.
