Zelensky signed a law on the legalisation of medical marijuana in the country
This, in particular, can help combatants with post-traumatic stress disorder

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a law on the legalisation of medical cannabis. This may help combatants with post-traumatic stress disorder, Ukrainian media reports.
The law comes into force six months after its publication. Therefore, it will only become effective in mid-July 2024.
Cannabis-based medicines will be available only with an electronic prescription issued by a doctor.
According to the law, only medicinal marijuana will be allowed to be grown and used, and the turnover will be strictly regulated. Only legal entities that have obtained a special licence and certificate will be able to produce the drug. The process will be monitored around the clock.
The producer will have to mark each plant, each batch and each unit of packaged products with a unique electronic identifier.
Legal entities will have to enter all data on production and sales into an electronic information accounting system.
