Scholz avoids answering the question about supplying Ukraine with Taurus missiles at the Munich conference
He hinted that the "right" moment has not yet come to make this decision

At the Munich Security Conference, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz was asked why Germany has not yet supplied Taurus missiles to Ukraine.
"This is a strange question – you know that Germany spends the most in Europe on arms supplies to Ukraine," the chancellor said, noting that last year alone Berlin provided Kyiv with €12 billion in aid.
"It is important to make the right decisions at the right time. And we are making these decisions," the chancellor added.
Last spring, Ukraine made an official request to Germany to provide it with Taurus cruise missiles. The German government refused to do so, fearing an escalation of the conflict.
Background. As a reminder, the leader of the German opposition has once again called for long-range TAURUS missiles to be supplied to Ukraine. Friedrich Merz called for "very concrete conclusions" to be drawn from the security agreement concluded between Germany and Ukraine and for the cruise missiles to be delivered to Kyiv.
