The Czech government has made an indefinite ban on issuing visas to Russians and Belarusians
However, entry is allowed for those Russians "whose stay is in the interests of the country"

The Czech government has extended its ban on issuing visas and residence permits to citizens of Russia and Belarus, the ČTK news agency reported.
The ban was due to expire on 31 March 2024, but has now been extended indefinitely.
The Czech Republic will continue to issue humanitarian visas, for example, to relatives of citizens of the republic and other EU member states.
A visa or residence permit may also be issued to those "whose stay is in the interests of the country". This decision must be justified by the Foreign Ministry.
The government will also create "conditions for the entry and stay in the Czech Republic for opposition members and students who do not want to have anything to do with the regimes in Russia and Belarus," the agency quoted Czech Prime Minister Peter Fiala as saying. It was not reported what kind of conditions were imposed.
The Czech Republic suspended the issuance of visas and temporary residence permits to Russians in February 2022 and extended the ban twice – in June 2022 and March 2023.
Background. Earlier it was reported that the Czech Republic would pay financial assistance to Ukrainians returning home.
