Ukraine and Denmark sign security agreement
Denmark will supply Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets, ammunition, pilot training and aircraft maintenance

On Friday 23 February, Ukraine and Denmark signed a joint security agreement. According to Ukrainian media reports, under this document, Denmark will supply Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets, ammunition, pilot training and aircraft maintenance.
It is also noted that in 2024, Denmark will allocate at least €1.8 billion to Ukraine.
"A strong document that confirms Denmark's unwavering support for our people. In particular, in the amount of at least EUR 1.8 billion this year. Denmark will also support efforts to ensure the full potential of the F-16 through the aviation coalition: providing fighters, ammunition, simulators, training, maintenance," President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on social media, commenting on the agreement.
Earlier, Ukraine signed similar documents with the UK, Germany and France. They mean Ukraine's ongoing support in the war with Russia and assistance in the event of future military conflicts – while Ukraine has not yet been accepted into NATO.
Earlier it was reported that President Zelenskyy met with the Danish Prime Minister in Lviv. The message was posted on the Facebook page of the President of Ukraine.
"In Lviv, at the Mars Field of the Lychakiv Cemetery, together with the Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, we honoured the memory of the fallen defenders of Ukraine," the statement said.
