Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala said that at French President Emmanuel Macron's military summit in Paris, about 15 countries signed up to the Czech Republic's plan to urgently purchase artillery ammunition for Ukraine from non-EU countries.
According to him, Prague has identified hundreds of thousands of shells for sale around the world that could be delivered to Ukraine within weeks if funding can be secured.
Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte tweeted that his country promised to allocate €100 million to the Czech initiative. Denmark and Canada have also confirmed their participation, as has France.
