Lithuania will join the Czech-led initiative to purchase ammunition for Ukraine.

As part of an initiative launched by the Czech leader, Prague acts as an intermediary for governments wishing to finance the purchase of 155mm shells from third countries.

The Czech Ministry of Defence has previously stated that it is coordinating the effort and has secured the preliminary consent of Canada and Denmark, among other countries.

The Netherlands has donated €250 million for the purchase of ammunition.
