Rosneft in Samara region attacked by SBU drones
The Security Service continues to implement its strategy to undermine Russia's economic potential

On Saturday morning, two Rosneft oil refineries in the Samara region were attacked by drones. According to BBC sources in Ukrainian law enforcement agencies, the operation was led by the SBU.
"The SBU continues to implement its strategy to undermine Russia's economic potential, which allows it to wage war in Ukraine.
The cotton season at Russian refineries is in full swing. Each such attack reduces the flow of petrodollars that fuels Russia's military economy," the source said.
The attack on the territory of the Syzran oil refinery caused a fire at a refinery unit, no one was injured, according to the governor of the region, Dmitry Azarov.
The Baza telegram channel noted that the area of the fire was 500 square metres.
Less is known about the Novokuibyshevsk refinery: the governor reported an attempted attack, while the SBU called both attacks effective.
The Russian Ministry of Defence did not comment on the attacks on Rosneft's Samara refineries.
During the week, three major Russian refineries were attacked by drones – the Ryazan Oil Refinery, the Lukoil-owned Novoshakhtyn Oil Products Plant in Rostov Region, and the Kstovo Refinery near Nizhny Novgorod.
These three refineries account for about 12% of Russia's oil refining capacity, according to Bloomberg.
