The 20th meeting of the Ramstein Contact Group on Ukraine's defence has concluded, with the main topics of discussion being ammunition, air defence, F-16 fighters and drones.

According to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine on its telegram channel on Tuesday evening, "representatives of the coalition of partner countries once again held a productive meeting, the main topics of which were ammunition, air defence, F-16s, and drones."
"The meeting focused on the work of eight capability coalitions (Air Force Coalition, Integrated Air and Missile Defence Coalition, Artillery Coalition, Armoured Vehicle and Manoeuvrability Coalition, Maritime Capability Coalition, IT Coalition, Mine Action Coalition, and Drone Coalition)," the Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
The main topic of the meeting was ammunition. A very large number of countries announced aid packages that include 155 mm, 152 mm, and 105 mm shells.
Another point of the meeting was air defence. The partners assured us of further provision of more missiles for Ukrainian air defence systems.
The F-16 preparation activities are going well according to plan, the meeting said. Ukraine is actively working with all the countries involved: The United States, Denmark, Belgium, the Netherlands, Romania, and other partners.
Several new countries have joined the drone coalition and made contributions. The first results of this coalition are expected at the end of March.
Canada will allocate $40 million for the Czech initiative and $7.5 million for night vision devices. The country has officially joined the Drone Coalition, led by Latvia and the United Kingdom.
Luxembourg will also join the Artillery Coalition, led by France and Germany. The country will purchase drones for Ukraine in cooperation with Belgium and the Netherlands and will continue to support Ukraine by delivering much-needed equipment.
Background. According to Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin, the Ramstein Coalition will provide Ukraine with $88 billion worth of weapons over 2 years.
