Ukrainian Army Commander: Russia is creating a group of more than 100,000 soldiers
It could be used for a new offensive in early summer

The Ukrainian command is aware that Russia is creating new groups of troops numbering more than 100,000 soldiers.
Source. This was stated by Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk, Commander of the Land Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
It is possible that the Russian army will try to launch a new offensive in one of the areas in the summer, he said, but the goals remain unclear.
"It is not necessarily an offensive. Perhaps they will use them to replenish their units that are losing their combat capability. But there is a possibility that by the beginning of summer they may have some forces to conduct appropriate offensive operations on one of the directions," Pavlyuk said.
As he explained, the Ukrainian side is preparing for different scenarios – it has started the process of regrouping and is withdrawing a number of brigades from the front to restore combat capability.
"We have started this process, some of the forces and equipment are being withdrawn to the recovery areas to give people the opportunity to rest, recover, re-arm and start new actions with new forces," said the commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Background. As a reminder, the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC) said that attacks by volunteer battalions in Belgorod disrupted Russia's winter offensive in Ukraine.
