Kazakhstan has recommended that its citizens urgently leave Kharkiv and Odesa regions

The authorities are urging Kazakh citizens to leave the Odesa and Kharkiv regions due to the unstable security situation, the embassy of the republic reports.
"Due to the growing tension and unstable security situation in the Odesa and Kharkiv regions of Ukraine, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Ukraine recommends that Kazakh citizens consider leaving these regions," the statement said.
To leave Ukraine, Kazakhs can use land routes through Poland or Moldova, and then use air travel to return home.
"The embassy calls on all citizens not to ignore the air raid alert and immediately take shelter," the embassy said.
In recent weeks, the Russian army has been conducting regular strikes in Kharkiv and Odesa. On 15 March, 21 people were killed and more than 70 injured in a missile attack on Odesa. The attack was carried out with Iskander-M missiles. As a result, 10 private houses, a gas pipeline and a service station were damaged.
The day before, the Russian military attacked Kharkiv with corrective bombs. At least 14 multi-storey buildings, a school, an emergency surgery institute and an administrative building were damaged.
Prior to that, Kharkiv suffered a massive attack on 22 March. The city was completely left without electricity. The difficult situation with electricity supply continues to this day. Rolling blackouts have been introduced in the city.
Recently, Russian dictator Putin suggested that a "sanitary zone" could be created in the Kharkiv region to protect the border regions of Russia from shelling and saboteurs.
