"Centrenergo: Zmiivska TPP was completely destroyed as a result of a Russian strike
It will be restored in the future, but the timing and cost of this restoration are still unknown

The Ukrainian energy company Centrenergo reports that one of the largest thermal power plants in Kharkiv region, Zmiivska TPP, was completely destroyed by Russian shelling on 22 March.
"All units were destroyed and auxiliary equipment was damaged. The degree of destruction varies from complete to significant," the company said in a statement.
The company continues to clear the debris. There is no access to most of the equipment, the statement said. "Centrenergo is unable to determine the extent of the damage and the time required for recovery.
In a commentary to Interfax-Ukraine, Andriy Gota, chairman of the supervisory board of Centrenergo, said that Zmiivska TPP was completely destroyed by Russian attacks and would be restored in the future, but the timing and cost of this restoration are still unknown.
On the night of 22 March, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Ukraine, which Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko called the largest attack on the Ukrainian energy sector in recent times.
"The goal is not just to damage, but to try again, like last year, to cause a large-scale failure in the country's energy system," he said.
Background. According to the Director of the Centre for Energy Efficiency, the Russians targeted the coal-fired power sector, which is the most difficult to restore.
