EU to provide €4.5 million for research of Ukrainian scientists
Under the scholarship programme, 65 projects will be implemented and 324 Ukrainian scientists will participate

The European Commission has tripled the initial budget of the EURIZON scholarship programme to €4.5 million under the Horizon Europe programme to provide ongoing support to Ukrainian scientists and their research.
"Russia's invasion of Ukraine poses a daily challenge to researchers. The constant threat of attacks on critical infrastructure, as well as the inability to travel and cuts in public funding, are hampering scientific progress. Despite these difficulties, Ukrainian scientists remain committed to their work," the European Commission said in a statement cited by the BBC.
The EU believes that the EURIZON programme will help the work of Ukrainian scientists, including by enabling them to resume their projects and establish stable contacts with international partners.
The programme should also help combat staff turnover and expand access to foreign research libraries.
A total of 65 projects will be implemented under the scholarship programme, involving 324 Ukrainian scientists.
