French Foreign Ministry denies information that French troops have been sent to Ukraine

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs has described media reports about the alleged deployment of foreign legion soldiers to Ukraine as disinformation.
"The disinformation campaigns about France's support for Ukraine are not weakening, and this is the proof. No, France has not sent troops to Ukraine," the Foreign Ministry said on its Twitter account (X).
Earlier, Asia Times, citing former Assistant Deputy Pentagon Chief of Staff Stephen Brien, wrote about the deployment of about a hundred Foreign Legion soldiers from the 3rd French Infantry Regiment, who were allegedly deployed to Sloviansk to support the 54th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Background. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Russia has announced an exercise involving the use of tactical nuclear weapons. Peskov said that this was a response to recent statements by Western countries about their readiness to send troops to Ukraine.
