Funding for F-16s: Denmark to provide Ukraine with a new military aid package worth €750 million
The country also reserves additional funds for direct investment in the Ukrainian defence industry

Denmark has announced a new military aid package for Kyiv worth DKK 5.6 billion (about EUR 750 million).
The new package includes
- additional funding for the future delivery of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine,
- air defence,
- maintenance of artillery systems,
- funds for the transfer of additional artillery pieces, shells and anti-tank mines.
"This package, which is the 18th, focuses on both air defence and artillery, which is essential for Ukraine," said Danish Defence Minister Troels Lund Poulsen.
"In addition, we are also setting aside additional funds for direct investment in the Ukrainian defence industry and allocating additional funds for the delivery of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, which is scheduled for this summer," the official said.
"With this package, we are sending an unambiguous signal to both Ukraine and the world. We are providing assistance now and are ready for large-scale and long-term investments in the Ukrainian defence industry. Their fight for freedom is our fight," the Danish minister stressed.
Background. The day before, the head of the State Department, Anthony Blinken, said that the United States would allocate another $2 billion for defence support to Ukraine. These funds will allow Kyiv to purchase weapons and invest in the military industry.
